In compliance with the WA Department of Health Guidelines, most of our office staff now work from home. In-office work has reduced to one person responsible for carrying out the minimum basic operations (as defined in Section 3(d) of Proclamation 20-05) for non-essential businesses. We have stopped the transfer of in-office paper and moved everything to be digital. As we move forward, we intend to do our part to prevent the spread of this virus.

We provide Licensed Landscape Architectural services, and except for Landscape Declarations, this work does not require on-site review. Thus the Design side of what we do is still moving along. If anything, it has only got busier as more customers work from home and interact with their spaces daily.

Our design team is ready and available to help homeowners, developers, and builders plan and their future outdoor spaces. From Seattle Green-Factor planning to Environmentally Critical Areas, we’d like you to join us as we continue to learn how to create real positive life-changing events outside your home.

When your heart goes into a project, and it starts stalling out, it can be extremely frustrating for everyone involved. We feel your pain and look forward to getting back out there.

The safety of our staff, your family, and the community as a whole is essential to us. The CDC, OSHA, and Department of Health have put out guidance related to COVID-19, and we intend to heed their warnings in preparing a safer workplace for all once we can return. Our hope in research is that if we can demonstrate ways to ensure safe conditions for everyone involved, that in doing so, we may be able to return sooner than had we not.

Once construction can resume, we will execute each work agreement in a first-come, first-serve manner, starting with the project already in construction.

Years back, we started virtually holding our design meetings. Doing so meant you could be anywhere in the world, yet we could still collaborate with live iterations and a much more immersive process than had we been together in the first place. We’ve done hundreds if not thousands of net-meetings, so switching that to include in-person but not so, in-person consultations was a natural transition for us.

Initial Client Meetings are now being held online in a Zoom like net-meeting, just like the design meetings we’ve done for years. To make this fun for our clients, we’ve purchased a 3 Axis Gimbal, so our meetings can be smooth and easy on the eyes. We’ve already done quite a few of these meetings, and so far, people have found it fun and engaging.

Our construction team is currently only doing work that is considered essential, and due to this slowdown, we expect some delays as we move forward. Once construction can resume, we will execute each work agreement in a first-come, first-serve manner, starting with the project already in construction. Our planning and design services are still moving forward, so we’re advising our customers to take this time to plan the future development of their space. Trust that once it is safe to move forward, we will do so expediently.

During our downtime, we are still available for emergency mitigation of structurally related issues, as defined in Proclamation 20-05. Please feel free to reach out to us to talk about topics you think pose a risk to public safety or your home.

Although our build team is taking this as an opportunity to connect with love ones, enjoy the little things, and let life slow down a bit. We’re also planning a better future for all the things that connect our work to the world. From building a better training program for new staff members or better care guides for our customers, we’re taking a little time each day to imagine a better experience for everyone involved. It’s a rare opportunity to see the world slow down. We encourage you to slow down with it and imagine how you want your world to look once things speed back up.
