Their exceptionally professional nature, integrity, and thoroughness in listening to my ideas about my outdoor space upgrade was a breath of fresh air. After filling out a detailed questionnaire about what I envisioned for my new deck/landscaping, Joe visited my home to look at the site so that he could connect my vision to my property. Following the in-person meeting, he met with his team to come up with preliminary ideas and plans for my project, then called to debrief me on the team meeting and answer my questions. Beyond this extraordinary early planning, what puts True Scape Design over the top for me is that Joe and Matt (I spoke with both of them) are down-to-earth, kind, and clearly interested in understanding my needs and budget for the project. My family and I have been really impressed and delighted with the design and quality of our home landscaping from True Scape Design. The initial design process went very smoothly with their team helping us quickly create a plan to meet our needs. The initial design presented to us was so consistent with what we had described, but added creative adjustments to make it even better than we could have imagined. We would heartily recommend True Scape Design. They know what they are doing. We had a major retaining wall project installed, as well as a new fence, patio and plantings in our backyard. There were so many moving parts in our complicated project and True Scape was instrumental in making the parts work together. From filing and navigating the arduous city permit process, coordinating subcontractors, installing the new fence and landscaping, keeping us in the loop and minding the budget—True Scape was excellent. Additionally, they were invaluable in communicating with all the neighbors about what the project would entail and how long it would take and assuaging their concerns. Additionally, during the project they were willing to pause to discuss a few design elements that were hard to foresee, and work with us to tweak the plans to make a better end result. The crew showed up every day, rain or shine, and they were neat and tidy and left the job site in good shape during the two-month project. We would work with them again.

We had an extremely positive experience working with Truescape Design. From our initial outreach phone call, through estimating, and construction I found Truescape to be thorough, responsive, and customer service-oriented. I really appreciated how much care Jake (Site Lead) put into the construction work (he seems to be a true craftsman!), and the excellent trouble-shooting Ian & Jake & Caryl did on the fly throughout construction. The scope of work included demo, grading, block retaining wall construction, artificial turf installation, concrete paver patio installation, fencing & gates, composite decking, custom railings, and new gravel parking spot. They also coordinated with other subs working on our parallel project to install a new Tuff Shed and route electricity to it. We love our completed backyard. It is a dream come true. We could not have had a more positive experience with this company. From the first interaction with Joe, to working through the designs with Da, the budget and contracts with Matt to the job site manager Ian, this company is filled with honest and good people who are skilled at what they do. We were blown away at how they asked all the right questions to get to know what we really wanted in our new yard, and then continued to listen though the design and build phases. They never made us feel awkward for asking silly questions when we worried about the details, and they were always on top of keeping us informed on the process and progress. They kept an incredibly tidy job site and were respectful and considerate to our neighbors who we share a driveway with. This company exemplifies integrity, collaboration and superior execution in a job well done. A year ago I didn't even want to look at our yard, and now we can sit outside and enjoy a yard we love and can easily maintain. Life changing!
